Members who have been admitted into membership with CPA Ontario under
Regulation 6-2 (members of Reciprocal Membership (RMA) bodies,
Recognized Accounting Bodies and Recognized U.S. State Boards of Accountancy as well as
successful Evaluation of Experience (EvE) candidates) are required to
complete the CARPD course within two years of their admission to membership
date in order to remain in good standing.
The CARPD course consists of approximately 20 hours of online study in
Canadian tax, law and ethics, in a modular form. Registrants will have to
obtain a 100% mark at a quiz ending each module to be able to progress to the next module.
Those who have been admitted into membership with CPA Ontario under Regulation 6-2 for
members of Reciprocal Membership (RMA) bodies seeking to apply to practice public accounting
will still be required, as part of those requirements, to write the CARE (Part 1 and Part 2).
The total fee for the CPA, CA Reciprocity Professional Development course is $1011.35 ($895.00 plus HST).
